Zara's Zouk- Buy all your Christmas belly dance goodies at great prices

Zara and her Mother Sandra have been running their online belly dance shop since 2005. Their aim is to bring you beautiful high quality belly dance goodies at the best prices they can. Items include belly dance costumes, belts and accessories.

Zara will be attending our Hafla this month with all of her treasures so make sure you bring your pocket money to buy a little gift for someone or even for yourself!

Performers this month are...

Sunny 'Snake Boy'

Sunny (aka Snake Boy) has been dancing and performing for the past 11 years. Most of his free time is spend perfecting his dance technique and routines. His distinctive style is a collaboration of belly dancing and Bollywood with West Indian influences. He performs regularly at various venues in London and is also involved in costume design and tailoring. He is available for performances and classes on request.

Arabian Dance Theatre

Arabian Dance Theatre is a dance group focused on providing Arabic dance and entertainment. Established since 2008, they produce shows for theatre, festivals, commercial, private and educational events.Their objective is to show the beauty, history, diversity, and depth of the Arab culture, through music and dance. They create shows that raise positive awareness of Arabic culture and society. They present both traditional and contemporary styles of Arabic dance and also showcase a broad spectrum of dance styles from Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Saudi, Yemen, Emirates, Jordan, Kuwait, Sudan, and recently also representing Turkey and Iran.

The artistic director of the company is Shafeek Ibrahim, a Master Arabic dance choreographer.

Arabian dance theatre have been shortlisted for The Arab British Cultural and society award 2010, as well as having featured on the BBC Arabic News, Al Aribiya news, Al Alamia TV, Al Arab Newspaper and Asharq El Aswat. They recently produced a show called ‘Under The Sun,’ and tonight’s performance gives you a glimpse of Shaabi-style dancing from the show.



Hadassah Stars

Francy Hadassah opened her own dance school in 1997 known as the HADASSAH Dance School in Brazil. Francy dedicates her time to teacher training and directing HADASSAH Stars. We are an exciting and talented Belly Dance company that offers a variety of lessons, professional training, monthly workshops, e-lessons and business assessory. With a philosophy to introduce Belly Dancing to all women out there looking to improve their self confidence as well as new teachers and performers to break the market and make a living Belly Dancing. 

Anna Zaremba

Anna started belly dance classes in summer 2009. Her main teachers were Azahara, Fleur and Arina from Fleur Estelle Belly Dance School, Kimberley Mackoy and Melissa Pina. She has also studied with Anna Kemper, Jesse and Philippa from Moirai, Kerry Darkstar, Suhaila Salimpour and Anasma.

Since September 2010 Anna is a member of Mahira - a semi professional dance group run by Melissa Pina. It's thanks to performing with Mahira that Anna discovered she can't live without dancing!
With roots in tribal fusion, Anna's style is constantly evolving. As she loves to improvise, her performances are always passionate and expressive. She'll never tell you the same story twice...

Sofeya

Sofeya began studying oriental dance in 2008. But it wasn't until 2009 under the wing of Cynthia Tabone, that she developed a true understanding and passion for oriental dance and its folkloric origins. Since then, Sofeya continues to further her study by training with prominent teachers such as Shafeek Ibrahim, Razia, Ozgen and Ewa Horsfield and performing both oriental & folkloric styles... When not bellydancing, Sofeya can be found exploring other dance styles such as ballet, salsa and waacking.

Nicola

Nicola became mesmerised by Middle Eastern Dance during a trip to Egypt around 5 years ago, and now has a love of spreading the exquisite art and culture of bellydance to all audiences. She regularly attends workshops hosted by Master Trainers, including Jillina; Khalida; Nabila Sabha, Anasma and the world renowned Ozgen. Her performing credits include BBC’s Don’t Tell the Bride; Arabesque Nights, T-Mobile’s Big Dance in Bromley; and she often dances at haflas and at special events.

Bellydance Belles

Setsuna

_Setsuna is a USA trained professional belly dancer. Her studies and repertoire cover many dance styles and extends from Brazil to China and many places in between. She specializes in props such as silk fan veils, and cane.  A former London belly dance teacher and performer, she is now based in Singapore and hopes to invigorate the burgeoning belly dance scene over there.
