She has studied with Fleur Estelle and Arina from Fleur Estelle's bellydance school, Anna Kemper and Hannah Mi, and has performed at London's tribal bellydance event, Firewater. Ariana is fascinated with how movement can be explored by the body and its relationship to sound and music, and draws on a variety of different dance and other performance experience to influence her bellydance.

Urban Drift Bellydance

Julie Robins

Picture
Based in Reading, Berkshire, I have been belly dancing for over 5 years, mostly Egyptian styles of dance including Baladi, Saidi, Classical, Shaabi & fusion. I have been to numerous workshops with teachers such as Yasmina of Cairo, Serena Ramzy, Hossam Ramzy, Emma Chapman (JWAAD), Usha Oseye (FCBD sister studio), Katie Holland, Sorcha Rogers, and many more. I have performed at haflas and events across Berkshire, Hampshire, Wiltshire & London and as well as being a solo artist I am a member of the 'Desert Diamonds' performance troupe.

Aqila Farashah

Picture
Trained in drama and theatre, I have studied many forms of dance and earned my Equity card in an acting/singing role at the English National Opera.  Since I took up Middle-Eastern dance in 2004 I have little passion for anything else and have studied extensively with diverse teachers: have attended regular classes with Josephine Wise, Anne White, and Ozgen, and workshops with Ozgen, Serena and Hossam Ramzy, Melanie Norman, Vashti, Nesrin Topkapi, Rachel Brice, Carolena Nericcio, Princess Farhana, Jillina, Sadie, Razia and many others.  I am constantly learning and am excited by how many new things there are to learn in this range of dance styles!

Vanessa

Picture
With a strong passion for belly dance, Vanessa has extensively trained in Egyptian cabaret style both in London and abroad.  She has performed in many of London's top venues and at numerous major dance events such as MoveIt, LiveVibe at Sadler's Wells and Pineapple’s annual show at the Mermaid Theatre.  She is a certified belly dance instructor and enjoys teaching people of all levels and from all walks of life.  Vanessa’s performances display a deep respect for traditional belly dance, but may be influenced by her training in Classical Indian, Bollywood, classical and jazz ballet, Tribal Fusion and street dance, resulting in a fresh and innovative style with a strong grounding in tradition.
